We are delighted to announce a new project with Sport Ireland to support the organisation with its safeguarding certification processes.
The solution will enable Sport Ireland to collate and track safeguarding qualification data with greater ease, replacing current manual processes with a streamlined approach.
It will gather information from National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs) and Local Sports Partnerships relating to individuals that have completed Sport Ireland’s already recognised safeguarding training. The solution will then automatically distribute emails to the individuals confirming award of the workshop certificate. The email will include digital certificates which can be downloaded and printed at home if required.
Michael Collins, Safeguarding and Ethics Executive at Sport Ireland, spoke about how valuable it is for them to have this efficiency-maximising solution available to them. He said: “We’re extremely excited about working with Sport:80, and the launch of the technology which promises to improve internal processes not only at Sport Ireland, but also for our wide network of sports organisations and safeguarding training providers.
“We are sure this certification solution can having a big impact on our safeguarding processes and as we continue to make strides in such important areas, we are delighted to be working with Sport:80 to realise our shared vision of a world-class sports sector.”
The project represents another big step forward for us at Sport:80, and Sport Ireland are an organisation which we are incredibly proud to be working alongside.
Our COO, Jonny Turner, spoke about how much these kinds of project mean to us. He said: “We’re delighted to have signed an agreement to work with Sport Ireland. Utilising our coaching and certification module we will be streamlining Sport Ireland's procedures.
“Automation is key to this partnership, taking a number of manual processes and bringing them into our ecosystem we will reduce the time Sport Ireland spend on administration and will enable more valuable work to be done by its staff.
“This is a milestone agreement for us. We have a serious ambition to help more Irish NGBs automate their processes, whether it be for membership, events, coaching, officiating, volunteers or other key business areas. Our suite of tools can be configured to suit a number of needs.
“We look forward to an exciting time working with Michael and his team at Sport Ireland!”
