In the next instalment of our 'Meet The Team' series, we introduce Jordan Wright, Software Engineer at Sport:80.

Jordan, tell us a bit about yourself!

"After finishing school at Meadowhead Language College in my home city of Sheffield, I received a Diploma in Information Technology at Sheffield City College, whilst working part-time in a pharmacy, on a building site and in a sports bar."

"My first full-time employment was doing digital marketing at a Sheffield-based health and safety firm before moving back into the IT industry. I was initially in a Technical Support position, before moving into Software Engineering."

What are some of your main duties at Sport:80?

"Most of my time is spent between creating data visualisation dashboards for our customers through PanIntelligence, writing data migration scripts for new or existing clients, and upgrading the platform user interface."

Tell us a bit about your interests!

"My spare time is mainly spent gaming, in particular playing FIFA, but recently weeks I have found myself enjoying 'Hogwarts Legacy', the new Harry Potter game, as well as walking my puppy Coco.

Who is your favourite sports team/athlete?

"Sheffield United."

What's your favourite sporting memory?

"Watching Lionel Messi lift the 2022 World Cup."

Favourite pasta shape?

"Spaghetti."

Desert island! One film, book, and album for the rest of your life. What are they?

"Film would be 'Shutter Island', album would be 'Goodbye & Good Riddance' by Juice WRLD, and book would be any Harry Potter book, but if I had to choose one, 'The Prisoner of Azkaban'."

Favourite fictional character?

"Dumbledore!"

The thing that annoys you most?

"Sunday drivers."

What about something you love, that everybody else hates?

"Cold weather!"

What's something you don't like, that everybody else does?

"Sea food."

What's your spirit animal?

"An eagle."

If you could go back to any moment in time, when would it be?

"The Wild West!"
